Masy Consultants shortlisted as one of 20 Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) across ASEAN to be a trusted partner of youth-led social impact projects, and will pitch its project at eMpowering Youths Across ASEAN: Cohort Two in 2021.
The eMpowering Youth Across ASEAN (EYAA) is a partnership program between Maybank Foundation and the ASEAN Foundation aimed at alleviating poverty and improving the social and economic well-being of ASEAN communities through youth volunteerism and social innovation.
The program engages 100 young change-makers from all ten ASEAN member states to leverage their knowledge and experience, and put their project ideas into action by creating meaningful change for local communities in the Southeast Asian region. In doing so, the program aims to build the capacity of youth in the ASEAN region by providing them with mentorship, regional leadership training, and overseas local community projects to develop into global change-makers.
Through a highly-competitive selection process, ASEAN Foundation and Maybank Foundation select leading CSOs across the region to be trusted implementation partners of innovative projects that yield high social impact results and offer an engaging platform for youth leaders.
Successful organisations will be entrusted with ten young leaders and USD 20,000 for the planning, delivery and implementation of the project.
On March 10, the ASEAN Foundation announced the 20 shortlisted CSOs from across Southeast Asia that will take part in a pitching session. Masy Consultants was selected as one of the finalists from the Philippines.
Masy Consultants will pitch its innovative project to a judging committee and the young change-makers of eMpowering Youths Across ASEAN: Cohort Two. The pitching session will narrow down the top ten CSOs that will become the implementation partners of the youth cohort.
Masy Consultants has developed an innovative Ecological Sanitation (EcoSan) project in close collaboration with local partners and trusted multinational NGOs. Subscribing to integrity, collaboration, and safety, Masy and its partners strongly value the importance of building global leaders to create scalable and sustainable impact. Together with EYAA change-makers, the proposed EcoSan initiative will promote knowledge-sharing and community engagement.
The team looks forward to pitching the project and working with young leaders to make a meaningful difference in the Philippines, which catalyse social and economic change to help communities uplift themselves from poverty.

Update: In consideration of the COVID-19 situation, the pitching session will take place in late-2020 or early-2021. Selected CSOs will implement projects during 2021. Masy Consultants is very supportive of ASEAN Foundation's decision to ensure the safety of the young leaders, stakeholders and the communities we work with safety as everyone's top priority.
